Philpan Diving Resort - Anilao

Last Friday night, we climbed Mt. Gulugod Baboy and when we went down the following day, we rent a cottage at Philpan Diving Resort.

Cottage rental is P300 and there's an entrance fee of P60/head. You can also rent an air conditioned room for P2,500 if you want to stay for a night. The room can accommodate up to 4 persons.

More information about Philpan Diving Resort here. But according the the resort caretaker, the site is no longer updated. They no longer offer diving packages.

Here are some other activities you may do while at Philpan Diving Resort.

Sombrero Island

Sombrero Island

Rent a motorized boat and go to Sombrero Island or Maricaban Island (Tingloy, Batangas). Boat rental cost about P2,000 and there's a P150 entrance fee at Sombrero Island. The island has a small white sand beach where you can enjoy swimming.

Maricaban, Tingloy Batangas

We decided to go to Maricaban Island, which has a longer sea shore and white sand beach too. They only charge P70/head.

instead of renting a cottage at philpan dive resort, is it allowed if we pitch a tent?

I'm not sure. But pitching tent there isn't ideal.

after trekking @ Gulugod Baboy, can we spend a night @ either Sombrero or Maricaban? Do they have available cottages there or can we set up tents there? Are there facilities in the said island/s? Appreciate your response. Thank you in advance.

Yes, but would be costly due to boat arrangements. Not sure if it's allowed in Sombrero but it's definitely possible in Maricaban. Better to bring tents.

Philpan Diving Resort's website is accurate. Philpan offers MANY dive packages. Not sure where the person who wrote the article got their information, but they're mistaken. I go diving at Philpan all the time.
