  1. our family spent the holy week'09 vacation at this resort, coconut hills beach resort, and one thing we can say was... this vacation was a DISASTER! not worth it of our money & travelling/staying time. when we arrived maundy thursday @ 1230PM they already doesn't have electricity... low generator, it can only supply enough electricity for an electric fan per room..
it is already in the afternoon when we heard that there is also no water supply... our family had been spending holy week vacations at so many resorts already, but this trip was one hell of a disaster, the resort itself cannot supply enough power & water to all of its bungalows and suites.. they got pool alright... one heck of a pool... it looks like one huge bath tub placed at the middle of the resort...
the only thing we enjoyed there was the beach... although its "mabato", due to its huge corals.. we loved the scene of the underwater at a near point of the beach...
not accommodating staffs & crews, our check out time is at 12nn, but their bastos crews are already there @ 11am,waiting in front of our rooms, asking if they can fixed the rooms up for the next customers, we haven't had finished packing up our things yet...
this resort really needs a lot of improvement with regards of their services & amenities! don't get fooled of the beautiful pictures posted on their sites! swear! its not worth a single centavo of your money & especially of your time! -onAi

  2. what was the name of the guy that is the son of the owner of this beach resort?

    ReplyDelete
  3. As to the comments from onAi, this is the owner of the resort who has just returned to tne Philippines. As for the electric, there are peak times of the day when the voltage drops. This has been discussed with First Bay Electric company who are aware of the current problems during the summer months, a new transformer will be supplied and installed as per First Bay Electric company. As for the water, the resort is in a remote area, supplied by two deep wells, we can not help it if you leave your fossets on, as this was the case when some one gave there child a bath and did not bother to turn the water off, this is not city water. As for the swimming pool, guests have always requested us to construct a pool, swim 24-7. As for looking like a " huge bath tub " All you need to do is look at the actual photos of the resort to see for yourself, we have supplied plenty of actual photos of the resort, it actually looks better in real life than on the internet. Check out time is at 12 noon, this actual customer ( onAi)who never paid for one room and checked out at 4pm instead of the usual 12noon, screaming and shouting at all the staff and management just causes tension with everyone, we are here to make everyone happy and comfortable during there stay. I would like onAI to contact myself at 09182014841 to discuss exactly what went on during there stay

  4. onAi is such a lier. We understand what happened on that day. It was'nt the fault of the staffs. As far as I know she did not pay her 1 budget room. I was staying next to her room. I know you and saw you saying something bad to the poor staffs of coconut hills. According to the manager she did not even pay her Iced tea at the restaurant and the extra room next to us. Yikes! Shame on you. She is the one na nagbanta na sisiraan ang coconut Hills sa internet. The Manager explained to us what happened right. She gave us all consideration and discount. We accepted it. According to her the yaya gave a bath to the kid and left the faucet on. The water was running and flooded in the c.r. of the restaurant and they are not allowing that, even in other resort to use the restaurant c.r. for giving a bath. They are using only deep well. Once the water tank becomes empty automatically it fills up the water. It's only common sense right. When i saw you (onAi)She looks "naka shabu". Wala sa sarili. She acts very weired. Maybe you have never been in a "bath tub". We have stayed at the resort twice, remember if there are no rocks, there will be no corals. Remember we all get electric from the electric companies. The management explained to us about the insuficient supply of current,It happens to everyone the black out( brown out ). Sana di ka magka Business like them. So hard to handle a business when dealing with someone narrow minded like you.I will be taking our family back again to this resort before the end of summer, since we all enjoyed our stay. We stayed at the resort for two nights, what you say that the staff was outside your room at 11am is not true, you left at 4pm, we were all glad you left, since you offended all my family and especially my children with your outrage and very bad attitude towards others, stay off the drugs coz your not normal. Nakakaawa ang coconut hills sa ginawa mo.

This is One of the concern guests of coconut Hills

  5. I've been to Coconut Hills Beach Resort twice. Last Dec'08 with my balikbayan mother, my children & my husband. We stayed in 2-bungalows. I can not remember an instance where we can complain. Clean bedrooms/tasty food with generous portions at reasonable prices, sea-sports activities and the still-well-preserved marine life across the resort, literally--walk--on low-tide and see the 3-NEMO's or clown-fishes, live corals, a variety of fish schools, sea urchins & starfishes. Where else can you find such heaven on earth??? The last time I remember seeing some marine life was in Palawan in '87 and then you have to quadruple the price on everything/time + effort. My 2nd stay was with my friends and my youngest son this week. And again it is the same experience, if only to add seashells hunting as one of the activites. The food was exceptionally good and I gained 1.5 kgs from the 2-days stay. I had a chance to talk with the very friendly and accommodating owners Phil & Mila.
And sadly they have narrated this incident which is caused by their local electric distributor. They have been promised that they will be supplied with enough electricity but the contrary happened. In cases like this, can we, Filipinos, be at least civil? Why do you have to blog your complaint here instead of discussing it with the management? Thereby settling any inconvenience you think was caused? Or were you afraid to actually voice it out because you just want to spread rumors? You know, we, Filipinos, should be happy and proud that there still exist people who wants to invest in this country and thereby helping us and our countrymen. How dare you tongue-lash this resort?? In so doing, this only confirms you have a one-disaster mentality of a TALANGKA!!!

Yun nga lang, sabi nga nila, you can't please everybody.

    Ayus ga?

  8. i believe the customer who had a bad experience there. kung pleasant ang stay niya she wouldn't say anything bad about the place... period!

  10. diSaPPoiNTed & FruSTraTeD!!April 3, 2010 at 9:10 PM

Me and my friends have been to many resorts every holy week and tried to checked the internet for a new resort to visit come holy week 2010. Upon checking their website, nagandahan talaga kami sa place coz photos are so attractive. So in short, we went to this resort maundy thursday. Pagdating namin, nagulat kami dahil hindi ganun ang iniexpect namin sa place at sa resort. gusto sana naming magback-out pero we already paid half the price of the room accomodaton thru bank transfer para sa reservation. aside from that, napakahirap na for us na bumalik sa san pedro dahil napaka-tarik ng daan papunta sa resort na ito. after checking in, we changed clothes, left our things in the room and nag-swimming na ang lahat. after 3hours of swimming and playing, everybody were tired and hungry. so we ate muna the sandwiches and beverages we brought coz we were thinking meron kaming choices sa restaurant nila based sa menu nila na naka post sa internet. so our team leader who was talking to the restaurant staff came back sa room namin. hindi daw available yung mga gusto naming foods sa RESTAURANT nila. there was even no HOT or COLD water na maibibigay for those who checked in. ahm.. meron pala, pero tatagain ka sa presyo. so what we did, nagtanong-tanong at naghanap-hanap ng pwedeng makainan. mga guest din ng coconut hills ang nagturo sa amin ng place na kinakainan nila na worth talaga ang pera mo. when we got to that place, mga naka-check in din pala sa coconut hills ang mga kumakain duon. and we have the same fate.. biktima lang din sila ng magandang website ng coconut hills. hindi lang pala kami.. marami na kami. sabi na rin ng mga taga duon sa lugar na yun, marami talaga nagrereklamong guests ng coconut hills.
When we returned to our room, we asked some of the resort staff about extra bed and linens. guess what? di nila alam. inconsistent ang mga sagot. pero in fairness, magagalang naman sila.

Ang restaurant/reception nila, 7am na sarado pa rin for breakfast or let say for a cup of coffee. katulad naming walang food na baon, paano na kaya?

when we checked out, nagulat kami dahil china-charge kami ng corkage fee of PHP500.00. Sa sandwiches at canned softdrinks? susmaryosep!!

i dont believe sa mga previous posts na babalik pa sila.. coz, almost lahat ng mga nakausap namin na guest din nila (mapa-local or foreigner), swears na never in their entire life na babalik pa sila sa resort na ito. they will not even refer this place to anybody.. ayaw ko sana manira ng negosyo ng ibang tao.. pero wag na sanang danasin ng iba ang mga dinanas namin.. kawawa rin kase sila..

To the management, pag-aralan nyo rin ang mga comments ng mga previous guests nyo para sa mga first timers na customer nyo, di man sila magandahan sa place, magandahan naman sila sa services ng resort nyo.

    ReplyDelete
  11. not a good beach resort.. sayang pagod, pera at effort nyo papunta dito..

    ReplyDelete
  12. sayang talaga ang pagod at pera sa coconut hills resort na yan...maisusumpa mo talaga, hindi nman sa paninira ng negosyo...kung di nyo mapapaganda ang resort nyo pati ang service nyo mabuti pang mgsara na lng kau dhil pg ngtagal puro first timer na lng ang mgiging costumer ng resort nyo and time will come na wala na kaung maloloko, kaya nga my comments and suggestion kau para mapaganda nyo ang service nyo, pero mukang di nyo nman pinapakinggan.dhil 2009 pa ng makaranas kmi ng family ko ng disaster vacation dyan sa resort nyo its almost a yr already, pero my bad comments pa rin about sa resort nyo,so sana nman improve nyo nman ung bussiness nyo di lng para sa kikitain nyo kundi para sa mga taong gumagastos para lng mkaranas ng maganda at safe na bakasyon pero parang na trauma o nadala lng ng dhil sa resort nyo,im sure alam nyo yan..

    ReplyDelete

  14. to the owner. "Faucet" not fosset.

    ReplyDelete
  15. ay ganun? kala k pa naman maganda kasi ganda sa website.... we're planning pa naman for a company outing never mind..... thanks for all the comments atleast di kami napasubo.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete

Magpakatotoo kayo! Salamat Tita Miles for accomodating us!! Babalik pa kami ule this year. As far as I know, sila lang ang may resto doon. So how come you are saying na kumain kayo sa iba at wala available na food sa resto nila?? In fact, we avail pa nga package meal nila at everything was worth it naman.
I heard british owner ang Coconut Hills. In fact, they added 13 more rooms since last year to accomodate more people.

  19. What the hell you're talking about na iba sa website pictures kesa sa actual.Don't you even realize that Coconut Hills just built year 2008? Actually last weekend I was there. Exactly still the same at gumanda pa nga lalo. Kasi I love their plants, malago na at tall. Rooms are clean inside and outside. I like the way they built the ifugao rooms and the rooms made of bamboos. Unique style baga!

Good service as well. Only you can do, just relax and just enyoy yourselves when you get there. I guarantee you'll be happy and will appreciate the ambiance like us when we were there.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Enjoy talaga kami sa Coconut Hills last weekend. kahit madami pa din tao.

  34. To Mr. Aris Laxamana,

We really appreciate and thanks a lot for your good comment. We are very glad to hear from you that you and your company really appreciated the ambiance, the beach and most of all our resort. We hope all our guests will be like you, a good person with a good heart. You and your friends came to Coconut Hills to enjoy yourselves, unlike the others they're making themselves very stressful without any reasons. Sinisiraan pa ang resort. I'm very sure naging pasaway na guests namin sila. Anyway we considered them "Block listed" already. We hope all our valued customers who really liked and enjoyed staying in Coconut hills will keep on coming back and you'll be always welcome with our good sevice.

    Thanks again,

  37. went there Saturday night to Sunday afternoon (june 5-6, 2010), no complaints about water and electricity supply, the beach was okay but not the road travel. we went there at night and it was the worst travel...sobrang dami ng bangin at ang lalalim pa. nakaka-trauma ang way papunta dun, cant remember the name of the town na may "dangerous curve" at un ung worst dun. hindi na ako babalik dun by road, magta-tugboat nalang ako. sobrang dilim sa gabi ng mga daan dun at almost zero talaga ang visibility. no lights during the night, ni hindi mo na makita ung daan at creepy talaga ang mga puno at wala akong tiwala sa mga harang sa bangin...lots of horseshoe curves at muntik na akong atakihin sa puso. pag na-hold up kadon at patayin wala ka ng laban...anyway i still consider it an adventure. but yes, sobrang mahal ng fud, biruin mo tapsilong PHP190, rice PHP25 per cup eh isang kilong sinandomeng na bigas na un eh

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hehehe eh syempre like what you said stiff road and adventure. Natural ok din and food Price nila. Kasi doon din sila dumadaan everyday going to Market, kundi naman boat. Alangan wala sila profit, right. Next time dala ka na lang your own Tapsilog and rice ha.

  42. last Oct. 29 to 31 2010 we spent our vacation in coconut beach resort w/ my family... at first na frustrate ako along going to coconut hills bec. of wrong map posted on their web... but either way it's a nice place... much better if ur going to take d ANILAO PIER going to coconut hills resort and from their your going to take a boat ride privately own by coconut beach resort. at least d k n dadaan sa stiff mountain and actually wala din naman cla private parking from their in sampaguita... lalakad ka din in few meters like 250 meters kya kung ako sa inyo d ako liliko from d 3rd bridge after construction supply kung ayaw nyo dumaan sa stiff mountain. but d great thing is... near in sea shore, makikita mo na yung ibat ibang klase fish sa linaw ng tubig... ok lng khit mabato khit marami corals mas enjoy pa nga kc makakapag snorkeling ka pa.. nakakuha nga kme dalawa star fish so enjoy mga kids ko... syempre ako din akala mo nga sa ocean park mo lng makikita yung mga klase ng fish na makikita mo... and yung accomodation much better kung kunin nyo yung beach front para mas ok sa 8 person at maluwag pa sa walo ... and ammenities.. well sinubukan ko halos lahat yun.... bale wala ang pagod at gastos kung susubukan mo.......

    ReplyDelete
  43. I thought that it was nice because as i look at the pictures it was absolutely great .. but i guess i need to find a resort that has no negative comments or outlook :)

  46. I've been to places and I must say, this experience we had on this resort is very frustrating! The fees/rate didn't match the service and accommodation that they offer.Heck,I've been to affordable places but the services and accommodation is far too better. It's my first time to be dismayed on how unprofessional their staff and management is!
I hope the owner can do something about this!
1.Have a boat and a extra boat to help transfer guests in a very easy and comfortable manner ASAP to reach the resort.Back and forth!
2.Have more than 2 towels on each rooms and don't ask for payment for an extra towel.Imagine having 8 persons, and their only providing 2 free use of towels!
3.If the guests are staying for overnights, they should waive the fee of the pool! We paid more than 15k++ for our 2 rooms and we still have to pay 75 for the use of their small pool. That is too much!!
4.The staffs are nowhere to be found when you need help! They should now how to be hospitable and accommodating at all times! They should practice courtesy and wear a smile on their face!
5.They said, no power interruption, but during our stay, there was a black out and the generator turned on and off more than 5 times!

Working in a hospitality industry,I know that when a guest is displeased or unsatisfied because the services came short, automatically, the management will offer compliments and sometimes offer discounts or freebies. That is how it's supposed to be! Now, if you think you cannot extend quality service and accommodation, better re-access your resort! Because for sure, no guest that stayed on your resort will ever come back.Let alone recommend! And I assure you, blogs and word of mouth spreads like fire! Good luck to your guests! Hope they won't experience the terrible service we had to endure while we stayed there!

    ReplyDelete
  48. To wabbit & company,
We know you people. You came to our resort Apr. 23-24 and accepted you as our good guests. We did not insist you to accept our rates and to stay. You are saying all bullshit things. You are all banned. You know that!! You came to Coconut Hills bringing all your house stuff like lpg, 2 burners of cooker (not allowed to bring), extra matresses, 5 cool boxes, rice cookers, food, drinks, alcohols, luggages and etc. What do you expect to do with our staff? Carrying all those things and treat them like slaves. We offer a boat ride & some more rooms to stay to fit youselves but you refused to save more money 'cause according to you all your boss is very "kuripot". kaya lahat kayo more than 22 pax nasiksikan sa 1 small room and the Ocean view for 8 pax only. Our rooms has it's own capacity. Lahat ng bawal ginawa nyo sa resort like drinking alcohol by the pool and using all the picnic huts with too much mess. If like kind of guests or people like you all would stay at our resort, no way and 100% we will not accept you kahit di na kumita resort sa kagaya nyo. When you left all your mess, the resort became a disaster area. kayo pa ang nagwala sa resort. Di ba nag ocular kayo before kayo nag pa book? God knows, what you did to our resort and the staff. kayo ang nakakahiya! Anyway, my Boss knows it...God bless and thanks for being good citizens..........

  51. I went on a trip to Coco Hills with 6 of my friends and what we experienced is very different from the comments posted above.

I am on vacation from Seattle and was really looking forward to going to a beach in the Philippines. Despite the negative reviews, we chose to go to Coco Hills to check it out since it was our last resort. We commuted for approximately 2 hours and once we got to Anilao pier, a boat from Coco Hills picked us up. One of our friends rode his Motor Bike to the pier and since we couldn't take that onto the boat, one of the employees that were on the boat drove the bike around to a safe place. My friends and I, along with the driver of the boat, picked up the other employee by boat. We then enjoyed the scenic view to Coco Hills. Once we arrived the resort, the two drivers helped us with all of our baggage and we were greeted by very welcoming staff.
Because we reserved a room at an earlier time, we were able to get our cottage for FREE! The staff showed us our room and made sure we had everything we needed and that all our questions were answered. Since we arrived super hungry, we decided to cook immediately-the staff provided us with charcoal if we needed it. One of the staff started the fire for us. We also forgot some ingredients for our planned meals, but the employees were quick to offer us assistance- they said just provide them with the list of things we need and they will buy it for us since they will also be sailing the boat out again to pick people up from the pier. The staff was way too kind! We asked if two of us could just ride the boat with them and we will buy the stuff so that they wouldn't have to go through the trouble of looking for what we needed, which they allowed us to do.
Despite the list we made, for dinner, we realized we didn't have enough salt. As embarrassing as it was, we went to the restaurant and asked if we could have or buy salt. They said it was not problem and gave us about 3 tbsp for free!
At night, we decided to do a bonfire. We informed them about our interest in this earlier in the day, but they made sure to let us know that they were ready to start the bonfire whenever we were ready. The same employee that helped us start our bbq started the bonfire for us and chatted with us a for a little bit. The manager told us that we could hang out outside for as long as we wanted, but to make sure that we don't swim far out at night because it was really really dark.
We spent the night stargazing on the sand out by the bonfire. It was great! It was peaceful and quiet and we felt very safe.
The next day, we were to be checked out by 11, but we thought it was 12, so we asked the manager how much it would cost per hour because we had to finish packing and we planned on eating lunch. They told us that it was fine and not to worry. We were able to eat lunch and use the cottage at no extra charge. When we were leaving, we tried to pay for the bonfire for P300, but the manager said it was free! We were very surprised!
When we were on boat going back to the pier, we couldn't help but talk about how much fun we had and how wonderful the staff were. Everything we experienced was the exact opposite of all the negative comments we read. Not only was the place super cheap, the staff and management were wonderful and kind, the beach was beautiful, and it was all in all a great time!

  52. Hhhhmmmmm..... We just placed our deposite for this place. Seeing mixed comments above and taking to account the most recent is almost 2 years ago I have no idea what to expect. Never theless I'm looking forward to our stay this March 28, 2015. And to be fair to all I'll make detailed review of the resort with pictures to give justice to the correct feedback to this resort. See you on saturday CoconutHills ☺

  53. Hmmmmm.... We just deposited our down payment for the resort but found this page in a later part of the day. It is a little bit worrying that there are mixed comments for this resort, but taking to account that the oldest one is almost 2 years ago. However it is just fair to just wait and see with my own eyes. I'm more excited in proving which comments are true. I'll make it a point to make a detailed review with pictures of our stay for the benefit of other people. See you then!!! Coconut Beach this coming March 28, 2015. I just hope the AC would not be an issue during the time of our stay.
